This role requires you to work on-site at our office in Birstol, United Kingdom (GB). Edwards is a leading developer and manufacturer of sophisticated vacuum products, exhaust management systems and related value‑added services. Edwards solutions are integral to manufacturing processes for semiconductors, flat panel displays, LEDs and solar cells. They are also used within an increasingly diverse range of industrial processes including power, glass and other coating applications; steel and other metallurgy; pharmaceutical and chemical; and for scientific instruments in a wide range of R&D applications.

Responsibilities

• Delivering allocated tasks and meet objectives as agreed with line manager, placement supervisor and mentor.
• Supporting sourcing and supplier management activities.
• Assisting with supplier performance reviews.
• Participating in inventory optimisation projects.
• Analysing supply chain data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Work autonomously and flexibly including multi‑tasking.
• Make recommendations for process improvement in terms of workflow, procedures, training, compliance management.
• Identifying savings opportunities through benchmarking, value engineering & optimising replenishment methods.
• Escalating, directing, and resolving supplier queries if they arise
