Overview

Sentara is hiring a Supply Chain Associate III for their Supply Chain department. This position is fully onsite.

About the role

The Supply Chain Logistics Associate III is responsible for the supply management function in the designated assigned areas. They maintain close communication with the Clinical & Supply Chain Leadership, Colleagues, and other staff regarding supply related topics such as back orders, limited supplies, product changes, recalls, and conversions. They support the department independently and collaboratively with other support staff.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory balances across the designated areas.
  • Understand logistical requirements to meet demand during an ever-changing global supply chain and possess the flexibility to pivot a plan at a moment's notice.
  • Order, store, inventory, and distribute supplies in the assigned areas.
  • Implement established plans to ensure supplies and equipment are readily available and orderly.
  • Track shipments and coordinate internal stock transfers as well as resolve delays.
  • Assist with product conversions and substitutions.
  • Manage non-conforming supplies including returns in assigned designated areas.
  • Stay focused and possess the time management skills to prioritize tasks ensuring job requirements are met.
  • Show solid critical thinking skills and good stewardship of supply management in their respective areas.
  • Report and communicate effectively with internal and external customers using email, phone, or other acceptable methods.
  • Timely escalate critical product shortage and stock out matters to management.
  • Capable of escalating with vendor representatives our product demand needs including deficiencies related to their failure to supply and meet our inventory levels.
  • Be knowledgeable in navigating various platforms, ERPs, and other 3rd party systems.
  • Work as a team player with a positive can-do attitude.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • 3 years supply chain operations experience (required).
  • Healthcare experience (preferred).

  • Ability to manage inventory balances across designated areas.
  • Flexibility to pivot plans during an ever-changing supply chain.
  • Knowledge of various platforms, ERPs, and 3rd party systems.
