Responsibilities
- Analyzes supply chain operations to improve processes, performance, and reduce costs and waste.
- Works with departments within and outside of Supply Chain to enhance supply chain analytics.
- Evaluates point of use systems, with a focus on optimizing integrated systems and process flow.
- May perform buying and purchasing responsibilities, including placing purchase orders, obtaining quotes, and expediting deliveries.
- Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or 4 years of relevant Supply Chain experience.
- Familiarity with supply chain/ERP systems.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Previous experience in a health care environment preferred.
- Possesses lean certification or related work experience.
- Advanced computer analytical skills and experience in Access, Crystal reporting, and/or SQL.
Physical Demands
- May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating.
- May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing.
- Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
- Ability to read job related documents.
- Ability to use computer.
- Ability to travel to and from multiple MetroHealth locations.
- Ability to push/pull 50 pounds when assigned to the operating room.
