Responsibilities

  • Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock using internal direction, utilizing ERP systems for accurate tracking and forecasting.
  • Logistics Coordination: Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with delivery schedules and managing logistics partners effectively.
  • Production Support: Work closely with production teams to align material availability with production schedules, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize data analytics to identify trends, forecast demand, and generate reports for management review. Track and forecast inventory needs and manage inventory control systems. Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency, reducing costs, and improving service levels.
  • Communication with internal and external partners: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with the production planning team and manufacturing using our KPI SPCL file. Assist customers with inquiries, concerns, and complaints. Troubleshoot problems and offer solutions to customers.
  • Maintaining inventory flow in and out of service centers, including FIFO and DOH maintenance.
  • Project Management: Manage projects, timelines, and cross-functional teams.
  • Ensuring exact delivery and excellent customer service through fast and accurate order processing, communication, and coordinating with other departments to resolve inquiries.
  • Training and developing the SEWS Team with knowledge and understanding of all customer procedural requirements to achieve 100% on-time delivery performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Initiating and directing meetings to support the supply chain in planning for future customer orders and eliminating current shortages and past due orders, as well as eliminating obsolescence.
  • Tracking and analyzing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) weekly, reviewing contingency plans, action plans, and corrective actions. Analyze and interpret customer scorecards to evaluate supply chain performance, identify trends, and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Engaging in program management activities related to internal/external costs, production problems, delivery, and performance ratings, MMOG activities, and corrective action requests.
  • First point of contact for general inquiries such as inventory, scheduling, shipping, calendar schedules, shortages, promise dates, etc.

Qualifications

  • Work Experience: 5 – 7 years progressive experience in production and/or material planning and warehouse operations.
  • Education: Bachelor degree with concentration on Supply Chain Management or similar study preferred.
  • Skills/Certifications: English fluency required. Business Spanish reading, typing, and speaking proficiency required. Proficient Microsoft Applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word) skills required. Strong mathematical skills required. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Must be able to perform in a stressful environment. Sequential manufacturing / scheduling / international business / import experience preferred. FORD system, FCA esupplierconnect portal experience preferred.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of the effective manufacture and distribution of finished goods, primarily in the Automotive industry.
