The Supply Chain Analyst is a multi-level role (Levels 1–4) responsible for driving data-driven execution and continuous improvement across materials planning, sourcing and purchasing, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory transactions and stock levels to support inventory accuracy and material availability; escalate issues as needed.
- Support cycle count execution, reconciliation, and follow-up corrective actions to improve accuracy.
- Aid materials planning and purchasing teams with basic shortage reports, open order status reporting, and data validation.
- Analyze inventory and material flow data at a basic level to identify discrepancies and trends; elevate potential process gaps.
- Prepare recurring metrics, dashboards, and reports using established templates.
- Support audit readiness by ensuring inventory data, transactions, and documentation are accurate and current.
- Draft and maintain work instructions and SOPs for routine supply chain and warehouse tasks under guidance.
- Work closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure documented processes reflect actual execution.
- Identify opportunities to improve materials flow, inventory accuracy, and transaction discipline and communicate ideas to leadership.
- Monitor and analyze inventory transactions, stock levels, and material movement to identify discrepancies, trends, and root causes.
- Own cycle count execution for assigned areas including reconciliation, investigation, and corrective action closure.
- Support materials planning with shortage risk reporting, coverage/availability signals, and master data validation that improves plan quality.
- Support sourcing and purchasing by providing prioritized open order actions, past-due and high-risk PO reporting, and receiving exception visibility.
- Assist materials planning and purchasing teams with basic shortage reports, open order status reporting, and data validation.
- Improve warehouse execution by mapping end-to-end workflows (receiving through issuance) and eliminating error points, rework loops, and non-value-added steps.
- Design and maintain advanced dashboards and KPI suites for leadership; provide structured insights and recommended actions.
- Strengthen audit readiness through control-oriented processes, evidence expectations, and disciplined documentation and transaction integrity.
- Develop, standardize, and govern SOPs/work instructions; ensure implementation through training, compliance checks, and updates tied to performance results.
- Lead small-to-medium continuous improvement initiatives focused on material flow, accuracy, and execution discipline.
- Define and govern inventory and materials control strategy (cycle count methodology, tolerance thresholds, adjustment governance, transaction control plans).
- Establish enterprise analytics and reporting standards to support materials planning, purchasing actions, inventory health, and warehouse execution discipline.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive enterprise-wide process improvements and support business objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or a related field preferred.
- 0–2 years of experience in supply chain support, inventory control, materials, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Demonstrated Excel capability for operational reporting and basic analysis.
- Exposure to ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
- Experience writing or updating work instructions/SOPs preferred; able to provide examples if available.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in inventory control, materials management, warehouse operations, purchasing support, or supply chain analytics.
- Demonstrated strong Excel skills and experience supporting operational reporting and analysis.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience writing and implementing work instructions/SOPs preferred; able to provide examples.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5–8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain analytics, materials/inventory control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing support roles.
- Demonstrated advanced Excel skills and strong ERP process proficiency.
- Proven experience writing and implementing SOPs/work instructions and leading measurable process improvement.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in supply chain analytics, materials/inventory control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing support roles.
- Demonstrated advanced Excel skills, strong ERP process proficiency, and proven experience writing and implementing SOPs/work instructions and leading measurable process improvement.
