Supply Chain Analyst
About the role
The Forecast Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely forecasting to meet customer demand by providing demand signals to downstream supply chain teams. He/she will lead the review and analysis of various demand signals, forecasting accuracy, address root causes of discrepancies, and recommend process and systems improvements to enhance forecasting capabilities.
Primary Function
The Forecast Analyst leads the analysis of various demand signals, forecasting accuracy, identifies gaps, and drives improvements to attain program goals. They identify process/system gaps in forecasting and drive strategic improvements and permanent fixes. They analyze and identify potential forecasting risks, proactively resolve discrepancies, and provide weekly updates to senior management. They conduct deep dive analysis of "at risk" forecasts and identify trends in areas and/or causes of forecasting inaccuracies. They evaluate all available options to improve forecasting accuracy on a part and customer basis and implement corrective actions. They present recommendations for root cause elimination or corrective actions to process owners and SCM leadership. They lead and manage approved projects based on recommendations, ensuring timely and effective execution. They inform and respond clearly and timely to all queries from external teams and status inquiries related to forecasting. They drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial / Production Engineering or related discipline in business or engineering.
- 0-2 years of full-time supply chain or similar experience.
Skills and Abilities
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional conversations towards achieving strategic goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly detail-oriented, analytical, and organized.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment to quickly analyze situations and make informed decisions.
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in Project Management.
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Resourceful, assertive, and collaborative.
- Excellent documentation, report generation, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in data analytics using SQL, Tableau, etc.
