About the role

We are seeking a dynamic professional to step into a pivotal contract position within our client’s supply chain operations team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of their logistics and inventory management. Your work will directly influence the efficiency of their distribution channels, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive significant cost savings across the organization. This is your chance to build sophisticated decision support tools, analyze critical trade-offs, and implement process improvements that will have a widespread impact on a national scale.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in developing new forecasting, order replenishment, and logistics channel decision processes.
  • Support central replenishment activities, including the development of new forecasting tools and inventory forecasting strategies.
  • Partner with internal teams on planning for promotions, price changes, and exit strategies for various products.
  • Create and maintain multiple reports and dashboards to track key performance metrics across the supply chain.
  • Manage day-to-day replenishment activities and provide expert answers to replenishment questions from field and distribution teams.
  • Track and report on all key inventory metrics, diligently following up on any variances to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop sophisticated decision support tools and financial models to analyze inventory cost/benefit tradeoffs.
  • Analyze multi-tier distribution channels to determine optimal cost and service level tradeoffs across diverse product categories.
  • Develop advanced forecasting tools to support collaborative planning efforts with suppliers.
  • Conduct day-to-day business analysis, providing critical insights to supply chain managers.
  • Manage process improvement projects within the supply chain, identifying key stakeholders, owners, and necessary resources.
  • Educate and influence key supply chain stakeholders on the benefits and implementation of new processes.
  • Analyze and gather supply chain best practices to foster continuous improvement.
  • Develop strategies to support the creation of robust supply chain business cases.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of supply chain, operations, or related experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in data analysis, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
  • A college degree (a focus on supply chain or business is preferred but not strictly required).
  • Proficiency in Tableau and Google BigQuery (required for some specific team needs within this role).

Qualifications

  • Experience with forecasting or demand planning methodologies.
  • Familiarity with distribution center operations or inventory management best practices.
