About the role
The Supply and Distribution Worker is responsible for fully stocking a state-of-the-art warehouse with everything needed to make our Guests’ dreams come true. Safety is always the top priority. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property.
Responsibilities
- Receive and stock merchandise that will be sold in stores across the Parks
- Use a forklift or power jack to “pick” an order for one of our signature restaurants
- Get to know new areas of our famous “DC3” warehouse
- Help with housekeeping and sanitation in a facility that is the size of eight football fields
- Receive training on the use of various warehouse tools, powered industrial trucks and safety procedures
- Inventory/count supplies for a cruise ship so it has everything before it sets sail
- Handle cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Wear additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) as required
Basic Qualifications
- Valid Florida driver’s license
- Ability to read, write and speak in English
- Ability to work in both ambient and refrigerated temperatures
- Ability to pass a forklift certification after training is completed
- Ability to learn and operate an RF computer unit
- Must be able to meet all productivity standards set by the company
- Lift cases weighing up to 50 pounds consistently over the course of a shift
- Ability to understand and follow basic directions and move to multiple areas across the operation
- Fully available any time (Monday–Friday) for the first two weeks for training
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience, including operation of industrial trucks, radio frequency devices, warehouse management and warehouse controls systems
Schedule
Part-time opportunities only; full availability Friday–Sunday OR Saturday–Monday is required.
Pay
The pay rate for this role in Florida is $21.00 per hour.
