About the role

TerraPower is a nuclear technology company dedicated to advancing global energy and medical isotope production through innovative nuclear solutions. The company seeks a Supplier Quality Representative to oversee supplier compliance with nuclear quality requirements, ensuring adherence to standards and facilitating project milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Implement supplier surveillance and oversight material acceptance plans to ensure compliance with quality and technical standards.
  • Prepare and issue clear and concise Supplier Quality surveillance reports to document fabrication activities.
  • Participate in resolving technical and quality issues arising from supplier activities, including monitoring of dispositions and corrections.
  • Perform general assessments and critiques of nuclear quality programs and assessments.
  • Partner with Supply Chain management to address technical and quality deficiencies with suppliers, ensuring procurement of critical components meets project timelines.
  • Ensure adherence to personal, industrial, and nuclear safety protocols.
  • Promote and reinforce a strong nuclear safety culture both internally and externally by ensuring supplier compliance with quality, safety, and human performance tool expectations.
  • Conduct material acceptance activities, including shop visits for initial visits, in-process surveillances, witness and hold points, and inspection activities.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline, business, management, or quality assurance field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in a nuclear (NRC, DOE) Supplier Quality function.
  • QA experience in NRC 10 CFR 50, Appendix B regulated environment.
  • Working knowledge of NQA-1 requirements and a strong background in auditing, with current Lead Auditor certification preferred or with the ability to become one.
  • Experience with industry codes, standards and guides such as ASME, ASNT, AWS, AISC, ASTM, EPRI, NEI, ISO, NEC and IEEE.
  • Willingness to travel.

Salary Range

$138,685 - $208,027

This range is specific to Washington State.
