Key Responsibilities
- Lead risk assessments of supplier processes and implement strategies to mitigate potential quality issues.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align supplier quality objectives with project requirements.
- Develop and execute supplier improvement programs based on data-driven insights.
- Manage the PPAP process for new and existing suppliers, ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Provide quality support for operations, working closely with Global Sourcing to address quality-related issues and drive continuous improvements.
- Support the resolution of complex quality issues, utilizing advanced problem-solving tools to identify root causes and implement effective preventative measures.
- Utilize quality feedback and metrics to identify opportunities for design and process improvements, driving data-driven decision-making across the company.
- Support other quality engineers in their work, setting standards and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the quality engineering team.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating relevant advancements into the company’s approach to quality engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a similar technical field.
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in quality engineering focusing on supplier quality within the electrical industry or a related industry.
- High level knowledge of supplier quality systems, including APQP, PPAP, and Six Sigma tools.
- Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale supplier quality programs.
- Hands-on experience with statistical analysis tools used for quality analysis.
- Sound understanding of supplier qualification processes and risk mitigation strategies.
- Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the quality function.
- Good project management skills, able to successfully lead small project teams through challenges.
- Sound organizational and multitasking skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced working environment.
- Sound attention to detail with an analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
- Good interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect, navigate and resolve conflict, moderate behaviors, and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience.
- Good communication skills (written, verbal, listening, and presentation).
- Able to liaise with key stakeholders outside the quality function in technical and non-technical roles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), including excellent Excel skills and experience using Power BI.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering or a similar technical field.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certification from ASQ

- Competitive and equitable compensation with an estimated annual base salary range of $103,510 - $137,121.60 in the United States.
- Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) eligibility, subject to eligibility criteria.
