About the Role

Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. This role focuses on ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded, developing new approaches to complex problems, and advancing technology beyond previous levels. You will provide technical guidance, identify and implement process improvements, and maintain liaison with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate procedures to ensure the production of quality product.
  • Develop new and unique approaches to complex problems and advance technology.
  • Apply engineering concepts to resolve acute or chronic problems.
  • Conduct studies to understand capability for process and/or measurement systems.
  • Provide management with technical guidance as required.
  • Identify and develop appropriate documentation for process improvement and project implementation.
  • Manage supplier non-conformances and liaise with suppliers to address issues.
  • Conduct and manage supplier audits, tracking closure of audit findings.
  • Lead the suppliers’ product and process change notification system.
  • Manage Supplier Quality Agreement processes with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Suppliers, Management, Supply Chain, Engineers, and Manufacturing associates to resolve supplier quality problems, including capability studies and statistical quality control (e.g., Cpk, DOE, Hypotheses Testing).
  • Manage the sourced item qualification process and ensure completion of all documentation.
  • Oversee the First Article Inspection process.
  • Monitor supplier-related KPIs, ensuring compliance with DMR and providing deviation/waiver guidance.
  • Review adequacy and correctness of changes to Bill of Materials (BOMs), Incoming Inspection Plans, Drawings, Component Specifications, and FMEAs.
  • Serve as a supplier quality resource for site continuous improvement projects and support product transfers.
  • Provide supervision for up to 3 engineering direct reports and mentor other engineers.
  • Support the Non-Conforming Material Process, ensuring dispositions meet procedures and supplier corrective actions prevent recurrence.
  • Lead site SCAR activities, including data analysis, bounding, containment, root cause analysis, and effectiveness verification.
  • Support and lead internal quality audit activities.
  • Support regulatory and agency inspections, audits, investigations, and inquiries related to supplier quality.
  • Embed Quality as a standard bearer, ensuring adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS) and supporting corrective/preventive actions.
  • Support Integer’s Manufacturing Excellence and Market Focused Innovation Strategies through Hoshin Plans, Quality Plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote associate engagement through standardized problem-solving methodologies and behavior-based safety programs.
  • Optimize systems and processes through built-in-quality principles.

  • Active support of Integer’s Environmental, Health & Safety programs.

  • Defined Goals and Objectives with key projects and expected milestones.
  • Quality metrics: Customer Direct Complaint Rate, NCR rate, Complaint Cycle Time, CAPA Cycle Time.
  • Innovation and ideation through continuous improvement suggestions and implementation support.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive engineering and/or technically focused roles and experiences.
  • Candidates without the education requirement may be considered with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving foundation, with training/certifications in methodologies such as 6-Sigma (Green Belt minimum, Black Belt preferred).
  • Awareness of relevant Domestic and International Regulations and Industry Standards (e.g., ISO, QSR, UL, MDD, TGA).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Solid technical aptitude with the ability to contribute effectively to a team or produce technical results individually.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills (English required for non-U.S. countries).
  • Ability to maintain composure in a high-energy, constantly changing production environment.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a belief that failure is not an option.
