Supplier Quality Engineer
About the role
The Supplier Quality Engineer at ZOLL Medical Corporation supports the development of the long-term vision for supplier quality and executes tactical plans to support this vision. This role is responsible for overall quality performance and compliance of suppliers, leading supplier improvement and development activities.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of the long term vision for supplier quality ZOLL and execute tactical plans to support this vision.
- Ensure supplier quality performance and risk reduction within the supply chain.
- Manage supplier audits and resulting Supplier Corrective Action activities.
- Drive department projects such as reducing the need for incoming inspections, vendor to stock improvement, and electronic certificates of compliance.
- Travel to supplier facilities to review and enhance their effectiveness and capabilities.
- Issue supplier audit reports and follow-up on supplier actions to satisfactory completion.
- Provide leadership in the investigation of supplier and/or component performance issues, including corrective and preventive actions and driving continuous improvements.
- Manage continuous improvement and cost savings activities as determined in goals and objectives.
- Work with all groups within the organization to ensure business objectives are being met.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or technical field required.
- MBA/MS required.
- 3+ years relevant experience in supplier quality, quality, engineering, or manufacturing with a proven record of achievement.
- Experience with quality management systems and standards.
- Lead Auditor Certification a plus.
Preferred
- Six Sigma Greenbelt a plus.
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate technical information with others both internal and external to the organization.
- Basic knowledge of various manufacturing process, emphasis on electronics and mechanical assembly operations.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, prints, and specifications.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of statistical analysis tools with a focus on measurement systems capability, process capability, Design of Experiments (DOE) and process control.
- Must be resourceful and independent.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to thirty percent, including international travel.

Annual Salary
The Annual Salary For This Position Is $75,000.00 to $105,000.00
