Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities
- Ensure supplier delivery timing as established during the sourcing process and program requirements.
- Resolve supplier issues and communicate them to Android/Avancez stakeholders.
- Implement engineering changes.
- Investigate, analyze, and correct problems in quality, production, and control at supplier locations.
- Perform audits and implement new strategies.
- Ensure supplier compliance to Android/Avancez SOR requirements/specifications.
- Communicate with vendors regularly to address concerns and foster continual improvement in working relationships.
- Understand and interpret all manufacturing audits, including ISO 9001 and other industry standards.
- Maintain a supplier database with performance evaluations and quality control audits for in-house access.
- Assist with logistics, including communications with vendors regarding packaging and receiving issues.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field with Tooling, Manufacturing experience.
- 3+ years’ experience working in Engineering, SQE/SQA, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Assembly Tooling, or Machining role.
- Knowledge of DFMEA, DFM, PFMEA, Six Sigma.
- Technical knowledge to discuss assembly process capabilities.
- High level of analytical ability and problem-solving skills for unusual and difficult problems.
- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with all team members, including manufacturing, engineering, executive leadership, customers, and suppliers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Travel required.
