Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure supplier delivery timing as established during the sourcing process and program requirements.
• Resolve supplier issues and communicate them to Android/Avancez stakeholders.
• Implement engineering changes.
• Investigate, analyze, and correct problems in quality, production, and control at supplier locations.
• Perform audits and implement new strategies.
• Ensure supplier compliance to Android/Avancez SOR requirements/specifications.
• Communicate with vendors regularly to address concerns and foster continual improvement in working relationships.
• Understand and interpret all manufacturing audits, including ISO 9001 and other industry standards.
• Maintain a supplier database with performance evaluations and quality control audits for in-house access.
• Assist with logistics, including communications with vendors regarding packaging and receiving issues.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field with Tooling, Manufacturing experience.
• 3+ years’ experience working in Engineering, SQE/SQA, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Assembly Tooling, or Machining role.
• Knowledge of DFMEA, DFM, PFMEA, Six Sigma.
• Technical knowledge to discuss assembly process capabilities.
• High level of analytical ability and problem-solving skills for unusual and difficult problems.
• High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with all team members, including manufacturing, engineering, executive leadership, customers, and suppliers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Travel required.
