Supplier Quality Engineer

MARS Solutions Group is looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer located in Milwaukee, WI. Our client is an automation industry Leader looking for high-quality talent to make a difference. We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer II to support supplier quality initiatives for a leading global manufacturer. This role is responsible for ensuring supplier performance meets quality, delivery, and manufacturing standards while supporting new product introductions, supplier development, quality investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support supplier quality activities throughout the product lifecycle.
- Partner with suppliers to improve manufacturing quality, delivery performance, and process capability.
- Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities to ensure supplier readiness for production.
- Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and qualification activities.
- Investigate supplier-related quality issues and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support supplier development initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Operations teams to resolve supplier quality concerns.
- Assist with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), process validation, and part approval activities when applicable.
- Track supplier performance metrics and recommend improvement actions.
- Manage assigned supplier quality projects while meeting project milestones and deliverables.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and supplier quality records.
- Travel to supplier locations as needed (up to 25%).
Qualifications
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Quality Engineering, or a related engineering role.
Additional requirements include knowledge of manufacturing processes and production operations, experience supporting supplier quality initiatives within a manufacturing environment, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
Preferred qualifications include experience with supplier audits and supplier development, knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies, experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), familiarity with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, CAPA, or other quality tools, and Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.

Duration: 06 Months with possibility of extension. Location: Milwaukee, WI 53204. Shift hours: M-F, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM.
