Job Responsibilities

• Ensures that suppliers deliver quality parts, materials and services.
• Works with purchasing, quality and engineering to assist in the resolution of supplier related issues.
• Performs supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Evaluates supplier's internal functions to assess their overall performance and provides feedback to all departments involved.
• Develops and maintains the internal supplier rating and reporting system.

Qualifications

• B.A or B.S. Degree in Engineering, Quality Sciences or other relevant study area.
• Two (2) years minimum experience in the automotive industry with experience in quality and/or materials areas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Production capacity analysis background
• Tooling knowledge – design and costing
• Production and Raw Materials scheduling experience
• Lean Manufacturing concepts acknowledgement
• Inventory Management and Reconciliation (Scrap Reconciliation Analysis)
• Container / Packaging studies and definition
• Proficient in MS office software and the use of statistical software packages.
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
• Facilitation skills and training skills and abilities.
• Organizational skills and abilities.
• Ability to travel on short notice.
• Knowledge of AIAG, automotive customer, or similar quality requirements.
