About the Role
As a Supplier Quality Engineer at John Deere Seeding Moline in Moline, IL, you will provide supplier quality engineering support to our assembly and fabrication departments. This is an onsite position.
Responsibilities
- Lead containment activities and problem investigations for supplier quality issues.
- Participate in meetings that review quality performance and launch corrective actions to improve internal (factory) and external (customer) quality.
- Partner with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Management, Product Engineering, and inspectors to improve product quality, reduce defects, and strengthen quality culture across the factory.
Requirements
- Experience in manufacturing, quality engineering, process engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills, including corrective action development and implementation.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams, influence without direct authority, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Effective communication, organization, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering program or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
Skills

- Experience with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001.
- Experience in supply management.
- Data analysis skills, including AI, PowerBI, or programming.
- Quality planning, quality control, or quality improvement experience.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Leader Standard Work, or Daily Management.
- Familiarity with John Deere manufacturing systems.
