Supplier Quality Engineer
Position Summary
IEM is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for our Jacksonville, FL locations. Reporting to the Director of Quality, the primary responsibilities include developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, implementing a Vendor Management program, and supporting metrics.
This position requires 100% in-office presence and does not offer remote work.
Essential Functions
- Ensure suppliers comply with all regulations and requirements
- Update supplier database with performance records
- Create and implement quality control guidelines and protocols
- Provide guidance to vendors on reducing defect rates
- Communicate with vendors regarding supply quality issues
- Assess products and supplies from vendors to ensure quality
- Create and promote strategies for improving system and product quality
- Conduct audits of supplier management quality systems
- Act as a liaison between vendors and company leaders
- Visit vendor facilities to ensure quality standards are met
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Oversee and develop process improvement strategies
- Implement Vendor Management program and supporting metrics
- Perform risk assessments, PFMEA, Six Sigma, 5S, FOD Prevention, Kaizen, IPC Standards
- Understand UL, CSA, and other regulatory requirements
- Absorb and comply with health and safety rules
- Maintain and develop strong working relationships with other departments
- Strive for continuous improvement in all aspects of the work environment
- Participate in company committees, project teams, and relevant job training
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

Education and Experience
- Diploma in relevant field with work experience
- Related experience on Infor Syteline ERP systems
- Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office applications (Access, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Understanding of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Engineering
- Demonstrated career ambition with a track record of growth and increasing responsibility; highly promotable
