About the role
The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for ensuring supplier-delivered products and services meet GDMS quality standards, while also providing quality support to the manufacturing floor as needed.
Responsibilities
- Evaluating, qualifying, and monitoring suppliers for compliance with quality requirements
- Conducting supplier audits, assessments, and corrective action follow-ups
- Managing supplier nonconformances and driving root cause/corrective action (RCCA)
- Supporting nonconformance disposition and MRB activities on the manufacturing floor
- Participating in first article inspections and production readiness reviews
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience.
- CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Qualifications
- Experience in supplier quality or manufacturing quality
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, GD&T, and quality management systems
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Six Sigma or CQE certification
- Background in defense or aerospace manufacturing
