Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will drive measurable improvements across the global supply base, ensuring product quality and business performance.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with suppliers, engineering, sourcing, and operations teams to identify quality issues, assess risk, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage supplier performance through metrics like PPM and SCARs, conduct supplier audits, and ensure manufacturing processes meet quality and specification requirements.
• Lead supplier reviews, refine scorecards, and help strengthen data and process controls across the organization.
• Investigate nonconformances, lead root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why), challenge supplier responses, and drive improvements that prevent recurrence.
• Own corrective actions and audits, and deliver measurable improvements in supplier performance within the first 90 days.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience
• Strong technical credibility
• Experience in manufacturing processes
• Ability to confidently challenge suppliers while aligning internal stakeholders

Pay

Competitive base salary in the $75,577 to $94,472 range, based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Based on site at Sartell, MN with flexibility for a hybrid work schedule.
