Essential Job Functions
- Ensure suppliers perform thorough root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
- Participate in Root Cause Corrective Action processes on high impact product quality issues and warranty concerns.
- Ensure suppliers complete PPAP and APQP documentation accurately for new product development and design/process changes.
- Conduct supplier audits and process reviews.
- Work closely with suppliers to drive robust improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product launches & VAVE projects.
- Support plant quality teams during product launches and issue resolution
Education, Experience & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in technical engineering or equivalent. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred. Six Sigma certification (Any Level) preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Project Management experience.
- Skills: Ability to read and interpret GD&T drawings. Ability to use basic Metrology equipment and hand tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database software. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities. Strong written and verbal communication. Leadership, motivational, and project management skills.
Physical Requirements
- Work requires periodic stooping/bending and frequent walking/standing throughout the day.
- Requires occasional lifting of objects less than 25 pounds and of objects 25 to 50 pounds.
- Work involves activities that require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, or vehicles.
- Requires use of personal protective equipment.
