Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all suppliers meet our high standards for quality and reliability. This role involves conducting supplier audits, developing and implementing quality control processes, and working closely with suppliers to improve their performance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier audits to evaluate compliance with quality standards
• Develop and implement quality control processes for incoming materials and finished products
• Work with suppliers to identify and resolve quality issues
• Document findings from supplier audits and quality control inspections
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent quality across the supply chain

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in supplier quality management or related field
• Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel up to 20% domestically

Qualifications

• Knowledge of quality management principles and practices
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC)
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
• Experience with Six Sigma methodologies
