Responsibilities

• Leads supplier quality portion for managing non-conforming product issues using established systems and processes.
• Supports F-35 Production/Ground support/Spares equipment by investigating supplier-caused issues and provides solutions on resultant actions to mitigate escape and impact on the production line and customer.
• Works with other Northrop Grumman sites (Palmdale, Redondo, El Segundo, etc.) to assess impact and reach across programs.
• Responsible for Supplier Quality risk management.
• Supports program evaluation and monitoring of supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance.
• Interfaces directly with supplier personnel to assess both supplier quality and manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Works effectively with suppliers for problem resolution using RCCA tools and drives root cause corrective action analysis for supplier quality issues.
• Coordinates and oversees Supplier Quality plan implementation through all program phases.
• Issues, monitors, and maintains corrective actions for supplier-related product/process issues.
• Proactively analyzes supplier performance data to determine continuous improvement opportunities.
• Leads risk mitigation efforts/improvement plans using Zero Defect Plan (ZDP), FMEAs, process/product audits & reviews, monitoring key characteristics & reporting, SPC, scorecard reviews, and Supplier Engagement.
• Reviews and reports on First Articles per AS9102 for compliance and robustness.
• Interfaces with program, MRB, and customer on supplier-reported issues, impact, and resolution strategies.
• Consults and advises the Sourcing team to select and manage assigned suppliers.
• Reviews and understands relevant product, engineering drawings/specifications, flow-down documents, procedures, and regulating agency requirements for assigned products and suppliers.
• Manages implementation of Supplier Quality processes, development and execution of supplier quality risk assessments and mitigation plans, and supplier quality requirements development and flow-downs.
• Leads, directs, and manages multiple projects effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and:
  • 2 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering within the aerospace industry (Level 2), or
  • 5 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering within the aerospace industry (Level 3).
• Master's Degree in STEM with:
  • 0 years of experience (Level 2), or
  • 3 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering within the aerospace industry (Level 3).
• PhD in STEM with 0 years of experience (Level 3).
• Experience with AS9100 and AS9102 standards.
• Experience in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) investigation tools (e.g., Fishbone, 5 Whys).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance per business requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in SAP and MES data management systems.
• Knowledge of Supply Chain Management processes.
• Quality auditing experience.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 – $125,200.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 – $155,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline. Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions when determining base salary offers. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
