Supplier Project Engineer, Supply Chain

About the role

The Supplier Project Engineer will provide project management and technical integration for supplier projects supporting the Natrium Project, working closely with the Contract Administrator and Technical Representative. This role involves overseeing supplier performance, ensuring contract and technical fidelity, and facilitating supplier selection and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Act in a project management capacity for supplier performance management and oversight, including cost, schedule, submittal oversight, and resources.
• Collaborate with internal technical and commercial teams to ensure adherence to contract and technical direction with suppliers.
• Develop statements of work (SOW) and project planning to execute supplier projects and meet program objectives.
• Facilitate supplier selection activities, including RFPs and team review/selection processes, through the bid, evaluation, and award phases.
• Provide direction and oversight of supplier projects, ensuring delivery of contract deliverables in conjunction with the Contract Administrator.
• Manage technical interfaces between supplier projects and TerraPower's technical team.
• Support contract administration and commercial activities as needed to implement projects.
• Manage the submittal process between suppliers and TerraPower, coordinating reviews and ensuring appropriate responses and disposition.
• Maintain awareness of supplier technical capabilities, organizational changes, and relationships to provide feedback to the Natrium project.
• Provide supplier oversight during scheduled and impromptu visits to supplier locations.

Requirements

• Technical degree, preferably in mechanical, electrical, chemical, nuclear, systems, or civil engineering (required).
• 10 or more years of experience in supplier oversight (required).
• PMP certification or equivalent training (preferred).
• 3-5 years of manufacturing oversight (preferred).
• Understanding of manufacturing travelers, welding, and similar manufacturing processes.
• Experience defining supplier work scope, including development of SOWs, RFPs, and providing direction and oversight of supplier projects (required).
• Demonstrated skills in managing suppliers in design and manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting contractual/commercial aspects of customer/supplier relationships.
• Experience with project controls, tools, and processes to support project organization (required).
• Broad understanding of mechanical, electrical, and nuclear engineering disciplines and their interrelationships.
• Strong communication skills, high degree of trust and integrity, and a commitment to teamwork.

Pay

Salary range: $131,828 - $171,206 (specific to Washington State). Any salary offered within this range is based on market data and commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
