Responsibilities
- Review and approve suppliers' chemical and metallurgical processes
- Conduct product and process surveillance at multiple suppliers
- Train suppliers on quality material control system requirements
- Support and investigate chemical metallurgical issues impacting production
- Conduct audits and continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers
- Collaborate with other business units to enhance supplier quality
- Coach suppliers in non-conformance documentation and corrective actions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience
- Advanced degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience preferred
- Experience with chemical/metallurgical processes including welding and heat treatment
- Knowledge in quality control and product integrity assurance
- Ability to audit and evaluate suppliers' systems and processes
