Supplier Development Lead

About the role

This role will manage sourcing and supplier priorities that improve value, reliability, and operational performance in the Aerospace & Defense space. You will partner with finance, operations, legal, and business stakeholders to negotiate effectively, manage vendors, and support better purchasing decisions. The position offers the opportunity to improve cost discipline, supplier performance, and the processes that support scalable execution.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal and supplier containment actions to resolve quality issues
• Conduct Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations in critical situations
• Facilitate supplier development meetings to align expectations
• Monitor Key Performance Indicators to assess supplier progress
• Collaborate with Commodity Teams for sustainable operations
• Support supplier transitions with effective handover processes
• Execute APQP for new product launches

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with 5 years of experience
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time for supplier site visits
• Experience in supplier recovery efforts
• Ability to perform Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations
• Project management experience in a supplier-facing capacity
• Experience with engineered items such as castings and plastics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Project

Pay

$107,500 – $204,500 annually
