About the role

Under general supervision, this position coordinates and administers assigned management activities relative to identification, control, and accounting for systems and/or equipment in accordance with contractual requirements. Monitors procedures for assigned organization and recommends changes to engineering documents for assigned programs. Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Reviews data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. Ensures change accounting activity is in compliance with configuration/data management policies.

Responsibilities

  • Administers data management activities related to identification, analysis, control and accounting for documents to support systems and/or equipment in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Understands standard quality assurance requirements as applied to data item deliverables.
  • Reviews data and coordinates reviews and releases with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and other groups as required.
  • Enforces engineering data control requirements.
  • Reviews work project notifications to assure the accuracy of current contractual reporting requirements.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating practices and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires an associate's degree or equivalent and two or more years of progressively complex experience in configuration control and data management. Equivalent professional government or commercial configuration control and data management experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • General understanding of data management concepts and principles, related governmental rules and regulations, and experience demonstrating a general application of those concepts and principles.
  • Ability to participate in the development of new Data Management concepts and communicate and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment.
  • Experience using PLM tool, Windchill, and SAP is desired.
  • Familiarization with parts and bills-of-materials.
  • Ability to support verification and auditing, and status accounting activities.
  • Organization skills to coordinate work phases.
  • Ability to determine the appropriate approach at the task or project level and provide solutions to moderately complex problems.
  • Good communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of employees and management.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment, as well as work extended hours and travel as required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required.

Pay

Hourly salary range: $60,670 - $90,198
