Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist
This position is within the Technical/Quality Division of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, coordinate, direct, and integrate a wide range of technical and quality activities within the division.
- Manage and direct subordinate technical, quality assurance, and administrative personnel.
- Develop, present, and implement recommendations for changes or enhancements to branch programs to improve customer service and satisfaction.
- Oversee studies and special projects affecting Supplier Operations plans, goals, and initiatives.
- Monitor the collection, consolidation, and analysis of metrics and data to inform operating officials about the viability, effectiveness, and efficiency of Team programs.
- Identify and implement initiatives to eliminate or reduce inefficient or ineffective work practices; provide technical guidance to subordinates to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Review decisions made by subordinates and/or team leads to ensure compliance with personnel management programs.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Tour of Duty: Flexible.

- Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA): Exempt.

Qualifications
To qualify for this Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist position, your resume and supporting documentation must demonstrate the following specialized experience:
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.
- Creditable specialized experience includes:
- Coordinating, directing, and integrating work of teams involving technical and quality activities related to the supply chain.
- Managing studies and special projects affecting Customer and/or Supplier Operation plans, goals, and initiatives.
- Planning and accomplishing work while providing problem-solving expertise for timely coordination and integration of multiple technical and quality processes.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience.
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

Drug-Free Workplace Policy
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is committed to maintaining a safe, drug-free workplace. All employees are required to refrain from illegal drug use on and off duty. DLA conducts pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, and random drug testing for positions designated as testing positions.
- Applicants tentatively selected for employment in testing-designated positions will undergo urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Refusal to undergo testing or testing positive for illegal drugs will result in withdrawal of the tentative job offer and a six-month denial of employment with DLA from the date of the drug test.
- Employees in drug-testing designated positions are subject to random drug testing. A negative drug test result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the start date (EOD). Failure to pass or refusal to conduct the test may result in withdrawal of the tentative offer or removal from Federal service.
The DLA drug testing panel tests for the following substances: marijuana, cocaine, opiates, heroin, phencyclidine, amphetamines, methamphetamines, fentanyl, norfentanyl, methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA), and opioids.
Use of cannabidiol (CBD) products may result in a positive drug test for marijuana. Under Federal law, marijuana is illegal.
