Supervisory Integrated Acquisition/Supply Team Specialist

Duties

Help Provides assignments, guidance, and appraises work of subordinate DLA personnel, direct and integrates work of staff performing enterprise acquisition and logistics management functions.
Serves as Chief of the Integrated Supply Team (IST), planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and integrating contracting, supply planning, technical, and quality assurance functions.
Manages and directs professional and administrative personnel in procurement of centrally managed items supporting DoD and foreign military sales (FMS) requirements.
Serves as Contracting Officer on actions exceeding subordinate warrant limitations, provides guidance and resolves issues requiring interpretation of procurement policy for unusual procurements.
Directs team operations requiring knowledge of regulations, legislation, policies, and procedures, applies analytical principles to manage operations, resolve problems, and improve processes.
Monitors collection, consolidation, and analysis of metrics and data, develops and presents recommendations to improve program effectiveness, efficiency, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Basic Contracting Requirement: A.) A baccalaureate degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees OR B.) a current civilian employee in DoD or member of the Armed Forces, who occupied an 1102 position, contracting officer position, or comparable military contracting position with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold on or before September 30, 2000 are excluded from the requirements of "A" above.
• Contracting Officer Requirement: Must possess at least two years of experience in a contracting position.
• Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.
• To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.
• Manage, plan, direct, and oversee day-to-day operations, managing a mix of professional and administrative functional specialists and support personnel through all phases.
• Develop strategies to support, achieve, and exceed initiatives affecting supplier operations, implements policy, regulatory requirements, and procedures.
• Coordinate assigned programs and provide direction and oversight to assure mission accomplishment.
• Provide guidance on policy and regulatory requirements, assist higher-level managers in program analysis and implementation.
• Develop recommendations forming the basis for acquisition and logistics management initiatives impacting global customer support.

Education
