ManufacturingFull-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? The posting includes Summary (location), Duties, Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Information (some of which is boilerplate). We need to include sections only when there is real specific content. Remove boilerplate like EEO, legal, scam warning, duplicated lines, application instructions. Also remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. We need to preserve all substantive information. So we need to extract: - Summary: location: Western Service Center, FMCSA, Lakewood, CO. - Duties: list of duties (multiple sentences). We'll put as
  • each duty. - Requirements: Conditions of employment (probationary period, selective service, government travel card, supervisory probationary period, background investigation, probationary period duplicate, time-in-grade, DEU requirements). We need to keep all but remove duplicates? The text repeats probationary period twice. We should preserve but maybe combine? The instruction: "Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail." So we should keep each distinct piece, but duplicates may be considered boilerplate? It's duplicate lines within the posting; we should remove duplicated lines. So we should keep unique items. Thus requirements list: - Serve a 1-year probationary period (evaluation of fitness and public interest). Upon completion, employment terminated unless certification that continued employment advances public interest. - Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service. - Government Travel Card: position involves travel; a government contractor-issued travel card will be issued and must be retained for official business only. - Must complete a one-year supervisory probationary period (unless already completed). - Background security investigation required; appointment subject to successful completion and favorable adjudication; failure grounds for termination. - Time-in-Grade: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade in competitive or excepted service in executive branch to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions per 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. - DEU REQUIREMENTS: Applicants selected under delegated examining procedures may be required to successfully complete a one-year probationary period (unless already completed). (This is similar to probationary period but specific to DEU; we can keep as separate bullet.) We also have "PROBATIONARY PERIOD: You must complete a one-year probationary period (unless already completed)." duplicate; we already have that. Thus we can list unique items. - Qualifications: specialized experience for GS-15: at least one year of specialized experience equal to GS-14, providing advice and assistance to agency management and program staff, state, local and regional officials, and industry officials regarding Hazardous Materials Safety Programs, including interpretation of data, policy, legislation and regulations, procedures, requirements, technological advancements, and/or strategies. - KSAs: list of KSAs with descriptions. We need to format KSAs as list items? The KSAs are bullet-like but we can put each as
  • with description. Also note "For all types of consideration, experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work..." That's also part of qualifications. Also "You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience." Also "For additional information about applying to Federal positions, please click on the following link: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-policies/#url=e4" This is application instruction? It's a link for more info; maybe considered boilerplate? It's not exactly application instructions but it's a reference. The instruction says remove application instructions. This is a link for additional info about applying; could be considered application instruction. Safer to remove. Also "All applicants must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement." That's generic; maybe boilerplate. Could be considered application instruction; remove. Additional Information: includes Fair Chance to Compete Act info, transcripts requirement, DOT mission statement, Did You Know? Some of that is boilerplate but some is substantive about mission and values. The instruction: Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. The Fair Chance Act info is legal? It's about rights; maybe considered legal boilerplate. Might be removed. The transcripts requirement is substantive? It says transcripts required if education requirement or substituting education for experience. That's a condition; keep. The DOT mission statement and Did You Know? are substantive about agency values; keep. Thus Additional Information section could contain: - Transcripts are REQUIRED if there is a stated education requirement for the series OR if you are substituting education for experience. The transcripts need not be official, but must show that you meet the stated education requirements, including specific major or class requirements. - The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) is focused on what matters most: prioritizing the safety of our transportation systems, modernizing our aging infrastructure, unleashing American innovation, and maximizing efficiency by removing bureaucratic red tape. We are looking for mission-driven professionals ready to deliver real results with discipline, urgency, and accountability to support American families, workers, and businesses. As we usher in a Golden Age of Transportation, DOT values a results-oriented, high-performing workforce dedicated to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and a safe, collaborative environment. If you want to build big, beautiful infrastructure, scale transformative technologies, and achieve results that will serve our nation for generations to come, please consider joining the DOT family. - Did You Know? The Department of Transportation is consistently ranked as one of the Best Places to Work in the Federal Government! We should not include the Fair Chance Act info (legal). Also not include the link to FairChanceAct@dot.gov. Now we need headings: Use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). We need to decide which sections to include. We have Summary (location) maybe as "About the role"? Could be "About the role" includes location and brief summary. The instruction: Do NOT repeat the job title as a heading (the page already shows it). So we can use "About the role" heading for summary. Duties -> "Responsibilities". Requirements -> "Requirements". Qualifications -> "Qualifications". Could also split into "Qualifications" and "Skills"? The KSAs are skills/abilities; but we can include them under Qualifications or separate "Skills". The instruction says prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So we can combine KSAs under Qualifications. Additional Information -> maybe "Additional Information". Could be "Additional Information" heading. We should not include Benefits, Pay, Schedule unless present; they are not. Thus output:
