SUPERVISORY CONTRACTING SPECIALIST

About the role

As Deputy Contracting Chief, exercises full and concurrent authority with the Chief, in performing the overall procurement mission of the Division to include planning, supervision, management, review of policies, programs and functions of the Division.

Requirements

• Temporary Appointment NTE – Position may be filled as a Temporary Appointment NTE 3 years.
• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
• One year trial/probationary period may be required.
• Direct deposit of pay required.
• Submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
• Selection subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
• Reemployed annuitant information available (see Reemployed Annuitant information sheet).
• Career Program (CP) 14 – Contracting and Acquisition position.
• May claim military spouse preference (MSP).
• Position may be filled as a time‑limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 3 years by a current permanent Army employee.
• Time‑limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years.
• Time‑limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted.
• Position may be made permanent without further competition.
• Current permanent Federal employees applying for a temporary appointment will be appointed/converted into a Temporary appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
• If a MSP applicant is determined best qualified and selected, placement must be at the full performance level for priority consideration.

• Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
