Role Purpose

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the effective oversight of daily warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, LGV (Laser Guided Vehicle) management and operation, and team supervision. This role ensures the timely and accurate completion of tasks critical to the warehouse’s overall performance.

Accountabilities & Impact

  • Ensure timely and accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Oversee LGV operations, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Maintain daily workflow efficiency, ensuring all warehouse tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Supervise and support warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular team huddles or briefings to align on priorities and address issues.
  • Monitor warehouse processes to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
  • Act as a first responder to operational disruptions, ensuring quick resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, OSHA regulations, and other safety standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for compliance and reporting purposes.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
  • Participate in or lead Kaizen events, Lean initiatives, or other improvement projects.
  • Track and report on KPIs such as order accuracy, turnaround time, and inventory variance.
  • Provide regular updates to management on warehouse performance and issues.
  • Maintain clear documentation of incidents, resolutions, and process changes.
  • Support cross-departmental communication to ensure alignment on logistics and priorities.

Skills & Experiences Needed

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with proven ability to negotiate and influence effectively with internal partners.
  • Proven ability to develop, motivate, and empower employees (hourly), while fostering an environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and analytical mindset, efficient decision making to ensure that all shift measurables are met.
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and written. Ability to communicate technical and complex concepts.
  • Able to manage well under pressure while staying true to the company values.
  • Able to provide and receive open and regular feedback and adjust accordingly.
  • Works collaboratively within various teams. Ability to adjust communication/leadership style as needed and when appropriate.
  • Full accountability owner of self and team behaviors and results.
