Work Arrangements: On Site - Normal work schedule: Saturday–Monday, 6pm to 6am. Flexibility to work additional hours and schedules is required.
About the Role
Maintain product safety, quality, and legality for storage and distribution of product in accordance with the J.M. Smucker Company quality policy and standards. Direct and oversee the workforce by managing WMS and WFM systems for loading and unloading to J.M. Smucker Company SOPs. Oversee loading and unloading, order selection, inventory accuracy, safety requirements, and shift efficiency. Communicate effectively and timely with all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, direct, and assign work to all personnel on shift.
- Assist in meeting safety goals, BRC and food safety, Lean participation, and capital spending requirements; comply with SOP and GMP standards.
- Ensure KPIs and AOPs are met on a yearly basis.
- Manage Crew Supervisor and directly supervise shift leads, shipping coordinators, and hourly personnel.
- Oversee shipping and receiving office, including carrier scheduling, daily reporting, yard moves, driver interaction, and overall operational flow.
- Responsible for safety and facility security on shift.
- Manage held inventory, support inventory status migration, and liquidate inventory.
- Responsible for employee performance, discipline, and timeliness.
- Instill Smucker's Basic Beliefs and Our Commitment to Each Other.
- Comply with J.M. Smucker Company quality standards: pest control, sanitation, maintenance, documentation handling, damage handling, SOPs, environmental, and training of employees.
- Detect and report potential equipment failures to avoid damage or loss; suggest improvements to equipment or processes to enhance efficiencies.
- Assure compliance with all quality standards, SOPs, GMPs, and BRC requirements.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 1 year of warehouse and supervisory experience.
