Supervisor, Warehouse

About the role

The Warehouse Supervisor directly supervises and coordinates all activities in the warehouse department to maximize productivity on assigned shifts and areas. This includes planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing product and employee complaints, and resolving problems while adhering to the Company’s policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable laws, and applying continuous improvement methods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all phases of warehouse operations, including warehouse schedules, product put-away, and inventory warehouse management.
• Maintain inventory and product loss control; coordinate timely and accurate receiving.
• Ensure safety and operational guidelines are met, including proper procedures for production efficiency, product quality, employee safety, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Work with plant management and supervisory staff to assign, direct, review, and monitor work to maximize productivity in the warehouse and shipping department.
• Establish and monitor employees’ work schedules to meet business needs.
• Support and lead Warehouse Coordinator activities; oversee SAP transactions to ensure transaction integrity.
• Support inventory activities, including identifying, investigating, and resolving inventory discrepancies.
• Recommend improvements to reduce costs and drive productivity while achieving Sales to Service Goals.
• Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving them.
• Maintain time and shipping records; prepare reports for management review.
• Ensure warehouse work areas are clean and organized.
• Supervise and coordinate product rework activities.
• Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate departmental activities.
• Provide supervision of assigned employees in scheduling, daily activities, selection, retention, feedback, disciplinary action, and performance management.
• Participate in grievances, investigations, or contract-related activities if a collective bargaining agreement exists.
• Provide effective employee training and instruction; complete training documentation and track progress.
• Oversee the implementation and enforcement of company policies.
• Adhere to the Saputo Code of Ethics and actively apply Saputo values.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of plant experience in a warehouse setting.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
