Supervisor, Warehouse

Responsibilities

• Captures warehousing operations and production needs
• Maintains timely loading, unloading, and scheduling of product or ingredients
• Oversees shipping/receiving operations
• Establishes and maintains warehousing rotation and hold programs
• Periodically audits inventory for accuracy and obsolete product
• Enforces the plant's safety program including good GMP's
• Maintains excellent housekeeping standards, eliminates work hazards, and prevents unsafe acts
• Maintains equipment, submits work orders for repairs, and recommends changes for safe operation
• Trains individuals on safety procedures, specifically forklift and hand jack operation, loading, and trailer operation
• Trains, motivates, and monitors performance of warehousing employees
• Recognizes good performance and takes corrective action when needed
• Drives initiatives to reduce costs through labor controls, damage reduction, and implementation of new methods and tools to improve productivity
• Tracks and coordinates timely receipts and storage of goods and materials
• Maintains traceability records
• Coordinates and maintains fleets and equipment
• Communicates and coordinates with other departments

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Four-year college degree preferred
• Excellent PC skills, including Windows, Word, Excel, and SAP
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Previous experience in food-processing, manufacturing, warehouse supervision, or similar position preferred
• A self-motivated individual capable of multi-tasking and leading others
• Problem-solving skills to handle production and customer issues
