Key Job Responsibilities
- Maintain acceptable levels of productivity and quality within department to insure an efficient and profitable operation.
- Develop and maintain good safety and housekeeping procedures within the department in accordance with company policy and government regulations.
- Maintain an atmosphere of harmonious relations to prevent disputes from arising.
- If disputes do arise, act quickly to resolve them within company policies and government regulations.
- Provide training, guidance, and counseling to immediate subordinates.
- Administer established security procedures within the department for the protection of company assets.
- Cooperate with other departments to foster a teamwork philosophy.
- Conduct communication meetings for all levels and display sound judgment.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required, college preferred, 2 years work experience in warehousing.
- Mid-level CRT/PC skills.
- Must embrace change as an opportunity.
- Effective people skills.
- Ability to delegate and prioritize.
- Ability to analyze problems and make decisions for correction.
- Willingness to continue education, training through seminars, college, etc.
- Have an extreme sense of emergency.
- Solve all problems using the Komatsu Way.
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations;
- The ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (life, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information.
- The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
