About the role
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading the warehouse department in all operational disciplines and ensuring operational excellence, high productivity, and customer satisfaction. The Warehouse Gateway Supervisor coordinates warehouse activities and facility maintenance under the direction of the Warehouse Manager and Branch and Regional Management. This position is responsible for training warehouse personnel to ensure a well-coordinated shipping and receiving plan.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing in order to select and receive products at the facility in a productive and cost-efficient manner.
- Directs the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, including shipping, receiving, sanitation, maintenance, and inventory control.
- Adheres to budget requirements and works toward obtaining objectives and branch goals.
- Responsible for maintenance of warehouse equipment, providing both preventive maintenance programs and all necessary repairs.
- Ensures that warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order to perform the distribution functions.
- Responsible for warehouse safety programs to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and comply with OSHA, local, and state regulations.
- Recommends equipment requirements and replacements to upgrade and maintain warehouse productivity and efficiency.
- Responsible for recruitment, hiring, training, performance management, and discipline of direct reports.
- Timely reporting and compliance with deadlines.
- Researches, identifies, and presents new ideas to improve warehouse operations.
- Attends and participates in regularly scheduled and impromptu meetings.
- Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
- Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manage and lead warehouse personnel, including recruitment, training, performance management, and succession planning.
- Provide coaching and support to ensure employees are motivated and productive.
- Train new employees on warehouse systems and procedures.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in transportation and logistics management, with supervisory or managerial responsibilities is preferred.
- High School Diploma required.
- Must have forklift experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in customer service and logistics (will consider an equivalent combination of education and/or experience).
- Material Handling Certification.
- Dangerous Goods Qualification.
- Forklift Operation and Certification.
- Some experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and verbal).
- Computer literacy with proficiency in basic MS Office applications.

Pay
For this position, the expected base pay range is $72,864.00 – $91,080.00 Annual. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
