What you’ll do

The Supervisor is responsible for managing all construction-related activities while ensuring compliance with all code and safety regulations. Responsibilities include:
  • You will coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of field staff.
  • You will coordinate scheduling, assist dispatch with daily job routing, and ensure adequate staffing.
  • You will identify problem areas in the department and communicate problems and possible solutions to the Project Manager.
  • You will develop procedures and implement them to better organize the team/departments.
  • You will assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to technicians.
  • You will assist in recruitment and training efforts.
  • You will assist in warehousing and logistics support as needed to supplement the warehouse staff.
  • You will establish, implement, and maintain operating standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
  • You will track employee performance, tool assignments, vehicle assignments, uniforms, consumable items, etc. through the creation and use of spreadsheets and other documents.
  • You will perform quality control inspections to correct and coach any issues found.
  • You will interface with customers to resolve complaints and damages resulting from installation work.
  • You will perform various field technician duties as needed, including but not limited to, carrying and climbing a ladder when necessary.
  • You will perform other duties not listed here, as they arise, and as they are assigned to you.

What you’ll need

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • 1-2 years foreman or supervisor experience
  • Extensive knowledge of the cable and telecommunications industry
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Must be flexible with hours as nights and weekends apply
  • Must be able to travel and work out of town regularly, as required and averaging 75%+
  • Must be able to pass Background Check with an acceptable driving record and Drug screening
