Supervisor, Supplier Services
Position Summary
Reports to the Senior Director, Shared Services. Directly supervises supplier services staff and oversees the purchasing, supplier, and inventory functions of Shared Services. Responsible for managing service provided to enhance the customer experience, operational discipline and company-wide areas of scalability and efficiency, performance improvement and service enhancement and in compliance with government and management directives.
Essential Functions
- Train and direct Shared Services supplier services personnel in all purchasing, supplier, and inventory functions, policies and procedures.
- Ensure accuracy of supplier information in supplier files to include obtaining and tracking supplier insurance, licensing, business and certification documentation.
- Assist in the development and deployment of strategic and operating objectives and initiatives for procurement function; assist in developing, implementing and updating best practice and benchmarking solutions for the procurement area.
- Develop and distribute key standard and custom expenditure supplier reports.
- Aid in the selection, onboarding, training and development, performance management, retention, and succession of the supplier services team.
- Aid in creating an environment that encourages customer service, teamwork, process ownership, innovation, accountability and internal growth.
- Aid in communicating Shared Services vision and processes to varied levels across the organization.
- Aid in the collection of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) related to the Shared Services Team for the assigned areas of responsibility.
- Aid in process improvement for the assigned areas of responsibility.
- Aid in the Shared Services strategy for providing a best-in-class customer experience, assist in designing service level agreements, meeting service level agreements and driving operational performance metrics.
Education And Experience Requirements
- Associate's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Finance or Human Resources.
- One year supervisory or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience in a multi-disciplinary service center process model is preferred.
- Experience with ERP, CRM, and Work Management tools preferred.
- Must be willing and able to travel.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and project management skills.
- Unless waived by management, valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
