Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on furniture
• Assemble new equipment or parts according to specifications
• Install components and ensure proper functionality before deployment
• Conduct detailed inspections to identify wear, damage, or safety concerns
• Test repaired or serviced furniture to verify performance and compliance with standards
• Track and manage parts inventory for repairs and maintenance
• Order replacement parts and maintain accurate records of usage
• Communicate findings and recommendations to supervisors or management
• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while working in the shop
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe environment
• Assist internal teams or customers with technical questions and equipment issues
• Collaborate with other technicians to complete complex repairs efficiently
• Stay updated on new technologies, tools, and repair techniques
• Suggest process improvements to enhance shop efficiency and service quality
• Clearly separate foam, cardboard, and plastic to create recyclable materials
• Maintain and manage associates and their weekly schedules, ensuring adequate staffing coverage
