Supervisor, Shift; Manufacturing

Curia provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The Shift Supervisor is a member of the Production Department and is responsible for producing product in accordance with cGMP manufacturing procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage all activities of Chemist Operators on their shift to manufacture APIs according to issued batch records, including daily housekeeping actions.
• Keep Production staff and managers informed of progress and activities.
• Prepare pass-off sheets for shift change and communicate procedural changes and pertinent information to the next shift.
• Provide a summary of daily activities and shift progress to the Production Manager.
• Oversee cleaning of production equipment and facility in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and cGMP guidelines.
• Enforce all safety procedures and guidelines in accordance with company SOPs and OSHA standards.
• Train and coach Chemist Operators in new procedures and policies.
• Act as an extension of QA in auditing functions, including:
  • Daily evaluation and audit of current batch records in progress for their shift and the previous shift.
  • Daily walk-through audits of the facility to identify and correct errors or escalate problems to upper management.
  • Enable and enact changes to address GMP problems (e.g., clutter in halls, inventory issues).
• Responsible for follow-up and response to all QA Internal Audits within the allowed time frame, including:
  • Assigning corrective actions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Ensuring completion of corrective actions and maintaining standards.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Pay

Pay Range: $71,000 – $88,400. Education, experience, location, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.

Schedule: 12-hour nights.
