Norfolk, VA – Night Shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM), Monday through Friday

About the Role

Sentara Health is seeking a Night Shift Respiratory Supervisor to join the team at Sentara Leigh Hospital, a 250-bed Magnet-status facility specializing in orthopedic, gynecological, and urological services. The ideal candidate will have both supervisory and bedside experience in a critical care environment.

Sentara Leigh Hospital features private patient rooms, a dedicated orthopedic unit, full-service emergency care, critical care, GI, oncology, and maternity services. The hospital also houses the region’s only 24-hour hyperbaric oxygen program.

Responsibilities

• Supervise respiratory care staff during the night shift.
• Provide bedside respiratory care in critical care settings.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (non-degreed applicants with RRT credentials prior to January 1, 2006, or graduates from a military RT program with RRT credentials will also be considered).
• State Respiratory Therapy license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory care experience.
