About the role

The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor oversees the respiratory department and ensures high quality patient care consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Maintains compliance with all hospital, Joint Commission, and regulatory agency standards. Coordinate and ensure staff coverage for all shifts and all documentation is complete and correct. Responsible for completion of new hire and annual competencies. Provides any time feedback for all respiratory therapists. Maintains clinical practice as a respiratory therapist and serves as the clinical expert for the department. Conducts themselves as the department leader in accordance with the ALWAYS values.

Requirements

  • (NBRC-RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist(RRT/RCP-State)
  • Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner Texas
  • Associate Degree required
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support required
  • 1 yr experience required

Qualifications

Respiratory Therapy Supervisor position requires a strong background in respiratory therapy and leadership skills. Candidates should have a minimum of one year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a clinical setting. A Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Skills

Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, knowledge of regulatory requirements, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
