About the role

The Supervisor Production role at Mohawk Industries is an entry-level leadership position designed to oversee production and manufacturing teams. This role focuses on continuous improvement, process optimization, and enhancing productivity while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise department-specific Manufacturing functions across one or more shifts, including reviewing production orders and schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Resolve operational, process, and maintenance issues to minimize costs and reduce production downtime.
  • Schedule personnel and assign tasks to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to established priorities for production workflow and maintain shift reports and records.
  • Develop and administer departmental procedures, policies, and standards, and communicate them to employees.
  • Maintain control over resources to ensure operational efficiency within budgetary and productivity standards.
  • Work with the safety committee to address safety concerns and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Involves in the hiring process, employee counseling, and disciplinary actions, including recommendations for termination.
  • Maintain accurate records of improvement initiatives, performance metrics, and outcomes.
  • Monitor work quality and adherence to standards, ensuring products or services meet or exceed established criteria.
  • Address and resolve operational issues, conflicts, and challenges within the team.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 0-2 years of management experience.
