About the Role
This position is responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. Responsibilities include overseeing the production process, accurate record keeping, general line maintenance, and staffing.
- Check daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders.
- Ensure every position is filled before start-up of the production line.
- Oversee Team Member morning exercises and job rotation to facilitate ergonomics.
- Ensure all machinery performs to the highest standard.
- Verify all workstations have passed USDA inspection.
- Promote safety daily and through monthly safety meetings.
- Ensure accurate shipments, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products.
- Communicate company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members.
- Provide encouragement to Team Members to build the best team possible.
- Perform human relations functions such as training, retaining, and counseling on personal and professional problems.
- Oversee various processing operations and collaborate with other supervisors to solve problems.
- Keep records of reworked or returned product.
- Provide continuous education on the importance of quality.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma; education beyond high school (special training, vocational school, and/or college courses) is preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Supervisory experience overseeing personnel performing related tasks or activities.
- Willingness to travel 1-5 times per year.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
