About the role
The Pharmacy Supervisor at Sanford Health's Detroit Lakes Clinic is responsible for providing day-to-day work guidance for a team or work group in shifts and completing tactical processes. This role requires an extensive understanding of process, operational, regulatory, and technical requirements of related work areas.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with the Senior Director and is supported by 11 other Supervisors and Managers.
- Rotates Saturdays and works in a busy multi-specialty clinic.
- Manages a team of employees and provides day-to-day direction to staff.
- Collaborates with peers, health plan members, interdisciplinary team members, and leadership within the organization and in the community to identify and resolve complex challenges.
- May have ownership of special projects, including identifying problems, proposing recommendations, developing project plan, outlining processes, and implementing project plan.
- Anticipates potential problems and proposes solutions. Identifies areas of opportunity for improvement.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Five plus years of experience preferred.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of drugs and their actions; knowledge of state and local regulations.
- Licenses must be in good standing by the State Board of Pharmacy in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of 797 rules is required.
- Administrative functions of operating a pharmacy.
Skills
- Advanced clinical expertise and technical experience.
- Independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors to solve basic problems.
- Interpreting application of policies/procedures/technical methods for staff.
- Formalizing and operationalizing decisions; serving as liaison to areas impacted, educating others and socializing new processes to increase adoption of new practices.
