About the Position

Harris Health is seeking an experienced Supervisor Pharmacist to help lead pharmacy operations and ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered medication management.

In this leadership role, you will oversee daily pharmacy workflows, supervise pharmacy staff, maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, support formulary management, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes. You'll also mentor pharmacy professionals, contribute to staff education, and help drive continuous quality improvement while supporting Harris Health's mission of exceptional patient care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred
  • Current Texas Pharmacist License (or obtain within 90 days of employment)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of employment
  • ACLS certification required for inpatient positions (or within 6 months of hire)
  • IV Sterile Certification required for inpatient positions and Fondren Pharmacy
  • Texas Pharmacist Preceptor Certification preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive pharmacy experience in an outpatient or inpatient setting
  • PGY1 ASHP-accredited residency highly preferred
  • Strong analytical, research, and leadership skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
