About the role

Under the general supervision of a nursing administrator, you will coordinate, direct, implement, and recommend systems, methods, and procedures for the delivery of nursing care. This role involves collaboration with nursing and hospital administrative staff to ensure that standards of practice, departmental philosophy, and overall hospital objectives are met. You will oversee operational activities on a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week basis and provide supervision and training to professional nurses and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct nursing care delivery systems, methods, and procedures.
• Collaborate with nursing and hospital administrative staff to meet standards of practice and hospital objectives.
• Provide administrative supervision over multiple nursing units within your primary areas of responsibility.
• Oversee operational activities on a 24/7 basis.
• Supervise and train professional nurses and support staff.

Requirements

• Possession of a valid license and current registration as a Registered Nurse, issued by the New York State Education Department.
• A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Four years of nursing experience in a hospital or healthcare facility, with at least two years in a leadership role.
