About the role
The unit supervisor at FMOLHS oversees and coordinates nursing activities in patient care units. They participate in planning work for assigned units and coordinate with other patient care units and related departments. The supervisor ensures that patients' needs are met and evaluates unit nursing care and performance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate nursing personnel in patient care units
- Participate in planning work of assigned units
- Cook up and direct the work of others
- Evaluate unit nursing care and performance
Requirements
- Progressive experience in clinical and patient care, 18 months in previous charge supervisory role
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Proficient in English, verbal and written communication skills, computer skills
- Current Louisiana RN license with no restrictions; BLS-HCP, ACLS within 6 months
