About the role
The Supervisor, Laboratory Technical is a key member of the provider care team responsible for accurate, precise, and timely performance of laboratory tests. This role also includes evaluating and reporting test results, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and performing Human Resources functions such as scheduling and job performance reviews.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and report test results accurately and promptly
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Perform Human Resources functions including scheduling and job performance reviews
- Exhibit excellent customer service skills

Requirements
- Associate degree and meet the qualifications of Mercy Lab MTI or higher
- Current certification as medical technologist/medical laboratory scientist or categorical MT/MLS or MLT certification through the American Society for Clinical Pathology or equivalent
- Three years acceptable clinical laboratory experience
- Completion of a 50 week U.S. military medical laboratory training course
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor degree preferred
- Licensure: Current certification as medical technologist/medical laboratory scientist or categorical MT/MLS or MLT certification through the American Society for Clinical Pathology or equivalent
- Experience: Three years acceptable clinical laboratory experience preferred
- Other: Preferred education and certifications as listed above

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting
Preferred Education
- Bachelor degree preferred
Preferred Licensure
- MT/MLS certification or equivalent preferred
