Summary

The Medical Technologist Supervisor oversees and coordinates the technical aspects of the Laboratory section, including staff supervision, training, and daily direction. This role requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

- Understands and manages staffing needs for individual hospitals and departments. - Manages workload and processes to meet technical and administrative needs, ensuring rapid and accurate results. - Trains and assesses competency of lab technical staff. - Ensures compliance with accreditation standards and maintains departmental records. - Provides technical instructions and guidance to lab personnel. - Identifies and resolves issues affecting test performance or reporting. - Assists with special projects related to employee performance, equipment maintenance, and other assignments.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS). - At least 3 years of relevant experience. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively with management and staff.
